Sorry to say but yes.

They recommend only having a live tree in the home for a couple days. (That doesn't even give one time to decorate the darn thing. What a waste!! LOL)

So if the family doesn't wanna suffer from mold they can bring in the good old fake one's. (That's as long as they don't suffer from dust allergies. ha haaa)
