You can tell - I only look for what we can eat since the rest of the food makes my mouth water too much! lol Plus, since my husband retired, he does almost all the grocery shopping. (Nice not having to limp around with a cart or be obvious with the little motorized wheelchair-cart thing.) So - I am ignorant about the new goodies - thanks for filling me in!

He won't be going to the party with me - too many people he doesn't know - so I will just wander about and meet the folks in our neighborhoods, and listen. Should be a lot of fun, even going solo.

I remembered something I used to make before we couldn't eat chocolate.

I made a couple of pans of brownies using the mix then when hot from the oven, laid Andies Candies on top. As soon as they melt, I spread the chocolate and mint with a spatula - mint brownies! If you haven't tried them that way - they are delish!

Kate--Here's a new recipe that was given to me a while back. This is absolutely wonderful and very easy to make!!!

Bean Salsa Dip

1 can Blackeyed Peas
1 can Black Beans
1 can Red Beans
1 can Shoepeg Corn (or any can of corn will work--I think that shoepeg corn is smaller kernels)
1 green Pepper, finely chopped
1 red Pepper, finely chopped
1 Onion, finely chopped
1/4 to 1/2 bunch fresh Cilantro
1 large bottle of Zesty Italian Dressing

Drain and rinse the beans. Then mix everything together. This makes a large amount. Serve with Frito Chips or tortilla chips. Yummy!!!!

That's a good one, too, Diana. Thanks. I will definitely add some chips with this dip to our platters. This is turning out to be a lot of fun, thanks to all of you!

I am busily writing about the Patriot Act and Public Admin, while jotting notes on the side about what groceries my dh will have to pick up for this food fest!
