You might try calling the police and have them keep a look out for a car in the ditch or one that's been in an accident. In your small community it shouldn't be too hard to find. I sure hope that he shows up, Tink. That's scary to think that he could be out in the cold somewhere.

I've tried to contact him and all I get is his voice mail. I emailed him too and have gotten no response. From what I've been able to learn, there were no accidents in that area last night.
Not to be nasty, but it occurred to me that when he called the last time it was my son who answered the phone rather than me. That's when we got cut off before he passed the phone to me. I hope he wasn't some fruitcake hoping to find a woman at home alone. Dang I feel dirty even suggesting that. Obviously I just don't know what to think at this point.

That's a scary thought! Make sure that you have someone home with you when they come to look at the dogs. Sometimes it pays to be cautious.
