Neat, Angela! I've been wanting a nice spice rack too but haven't ever gotten one. You'll really enjoy it. And the preserves too...that's so sweet of Brendon. Seriously you two are so special together!

Oooh, Janet! One of my closest college friends keeps telling me to get that book "Eat, Pray, Love". Let me know what you think when you read it. I'll most likely be getting it soon for myself.

This year was a really small family Christmas for me (which was fine by me b/c we just had the huge family Thanksgiving)...my brother got me an iPod! And my parents got me a huge bag of groceries along with a gift certificate for a new ShootSac...which I've been drooling over for months now!

And just as nice as the presents was the food! This year was the 1st year I actually did a bulk of the Christmas cooking myself. (I didn't want my mom to have to slave away in the kitchen all by herself.) I cooked a LOT on Christmas eve and took it over to my parents, and then spent the night. It was really good! I am so blessed to have a wonderful family. I have pictures but haven't gotten them from my CF card just yet.

Angie, Brendon is such a sweet and thoughtful man!!! Definitely a keeper!!! What a special gift that the preserves were, especially when you understand why her got them and the spice rack was a wonderful gift too!!!

Janet, you got really nice gifts too. I just love to get pj's for Christmas especially when they feel really soft. A couple of books and a cd -- it looks like you're ready for a long winter day!!!!

Val- It sounds like you had a very nice Christmas. It was so thoughtful of you to help your mother with the cooking! I know how much I appreciate the girls helping me out. And your family really knew what you wanted with the Shootsac!!!! We'll be looking forward to your pictures!!!

My husband and I didn't exchange gifts since we bought the tv but the kids got some stuff for us. My husband and I got a gift card to eat at Kobe's Steakhouse!!! Yummm!!!!! Then I got a portable cd player (but I'm going to return it because I have one), a silver ring, rose-shaped candles and a bowl to float them in, bath salts, a yorkie Christmas ornament, and a box of thin mints! Plus we got school pictures of the grandkids. All-in-all a good Christmas!!!!

I sure will. It's going to take me awhile. I want to take my time and really know what I'm reading if that makes sense. I've been told to underline some things and make notes to go back to. I am just so anxious to read this book, I just can't tell you how much. I hope it makes me feel the way those that have reviewed it said it will. Matter of fact, my husband said when he purchased the book, the cashier and someone else in line said it was the best.

Well I was all excited about the guitar lessons Kyle got me, and then Christmas morning came and my parents had gotten me ANOTHER 10 lessons from the same place! So I'm basically gonna be a guitar superstar by the time summer comes I also got a couple of books (Bad Dogs Have More Fun by John Grogan, and Chicken Soup for the Shopper's Soul). The big present was money for my trip to Mexico (4 weeks away!!!!!!!!). I got enough to cover my plane ticket! I no longer have to put any of the trip on my credit card! Then I just got a bunch of little stuff for my trip... a passport and ID holder thing, some luggage locks and luggage tags, and a little set of make-up and accessory cases. Overall it was a really good Christmas We went boxing-day shopping and I used a gift card from my brother to buy a whole load of tank tops and pretty shirts for Mexico... for less than $5 each!

I hope you enjoy your gift cards! What restaurants are you going to? Traci gave me lots of body lotions and shower gels and stuff as well. I love things that smell good!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Bren's mom and step-dad sent us two books and a $50 American Express gift card. She asked what we wanted and we told her 1984 by George Orwell because it's a classic that I've always wanted to read. It sounded really interesting. I'm halfway through and so far I'm just completely intrigued. She also sent Animal Farm by the same author. I've already read it, but it has been a long time (since middle school) so I'm excited to re-read it even though it's pretty sad. I'm hoping 1984 has a happy ending. It's been fun to read together with Bren every night before bed. He's been reading the Eragon book I got him while I read 1984 and then we're going to switch.

Janet, I can't wait to hear about your book. Maybe it should be the next one I read?
