I'm glad you guys liked it! I had a hard time deciding whether or not I should post it, but now I'm happy that I did.
 Janet, I wrote it yesterday mostly during class. I just couldn't concentrate because all those thoughts were going through my head, so I started writing. (I know, I'm a bad student, lol!) I had to stop half way through because we ended up doing an in class activity so I finished it last night before bed.

Angie, your poem is well written but SO sad.
Life is full of crap and tears and frustration... but as low as it gets, there are also times of pure joy and awe. It's up to each of us which we choose to focus on. Everyone has some power... with their friends, family, and associates. Just mention running away to a remote spot and see how many beg you to stay! You may be only one, but you're a wonderful loving one. And that love grows and spreads to all who come in contact with you. It's people like you who make us ALL want to be better and do better!
