The sound of the dentist's drill sends chills down my spine and is absolutely the worst sound of all. Microphone feedback is a close second. The one that I hear the most is screaming children and, yes, it gets on my nerves!

The nails on the board and the microphone feedback have to be stopped immediately when I hear them, but I chose other because
any loud, persistent noise drives me right out the door. My ex used to get me furious. He knew this, and yet, played music at such a loud volume that he can't hear well anymore (serves him right!). Yet another of the several million reasons for the "ex" around his name.

Nails on a chalkboard, and screaming brats, i cant stand it when parents are unable to control those tantrums, or when they stand and whine " i want i want" grrrrrrrrrrrrrr that makes my toes curl!
