If you could have 24 hours.....

I would want to spend it with my dad, we were very close...I was his baby girl, he passed away 2 years ago and it seems like yesterday, like it was a bad dream I am waiting to wake up from. I keep him close to me , besides being in my heart, his pictures are all over my living room, and on my desktop...he is the first thing i see when i wake up , and the last I see before I go to sleep.
Some days are still very hard for me, some nights I cry myself to sleep thinking about him. I miss him so much, but I know one day I will be with him again, and I know until then he is always with me.

i would choose my grandmother, she was my best friend in the whole wide
world and now im in tears, i really am..she was 86 when she passed and i miss
her terribly....when i used to call her, everyday she would scream out MY GINA
is on the phone, mean while she had 16 other grandchildren, i was her favorite.
so if i could just see her just one more time and hold her hand and tell her i love her and miss her.. well thats what i would want

That so touching, Gina. I know what you mean...I'm my grandmother's favorite, too! She is still alive, but she is not getting any younger. I will be devistated when she passes. I'm my parents' first born and my grandparents' first grandchild. My mom tells me that she and my dad were scared of me when I was little, so my grandmother would come over every night and give me a bath and rock me to sleep. I love hearing those stories of how my grandmother took such good care of me.

I would want to see my grandfather. He died when I was young way before I got married. I would love for him to meet my daughter, He and my grandmother practically raised me. He was what a grandfather should be. He was loving and gentle and spoiled me rotten by just giving a ton of hugs and kisses. Also the popcorn he use to sneak me was a nice bonus. LOL I would have given anything in the world for Emily to have know him. She has missed out on a lot in life when it comes to grandparents. SHe has a set but they don't treat her like a grandchild. They don't do hugs and kisses at least not with mine. I ofen wonder if she misses that. Then again if she has never known it how can she miss it.
