My .02 about the Duggars is very judgemental, but I think they are whacked out!

I feel bad that I'm judging these people, but it is what it is.

I've watched the tv specials, and it's obvious that the kids are well taken care of and seem happy - I just wonder if they get the individual attention that kids needs.

I agree. I'm sure that they have something worked out to have one-on-one time with each child. I have some friends that have 9 kids and I know that the Mom takes each child out to eat so she has some one-on-one time with each of them.

The Duggars have worked out a system where the older children help out with the younger chldren. It would certainly help with the parents stress level. The children seem to be very well behaved. I think that it's great that they are taking care of their family without any financial help.

I have issues with it all! There is no way that she can have true one on one with each child. I don't doubt that she loves them all but let's be real here... 18 kids!! They said they will have as many as the Lord will allow?? I personally believe that God gave us a brain to think with to know when to stop... enough is enough. With so much publicity I have to wonder if they are getting donations on the side...

I can't begin to understand anyone wanting to have 18 kids; much less take good care of that many! But as long as they're not asking me to support or babysit for them, hey, different strokes for different folks!

I'm a little judgemental about this family too. I guess I don't really agree with the older kids having to take care of the younger ones. It's nice to help out your parents a little, but kids still need to be kids. It also seems like the kids aren't really out there in the real world. From the shows I've seen on them there's no real interaction with other kids, they don't seem to have other friends other than their siblings. They just seem pretty sheltered to me.
