I have a recipe for a marinate that we just love! It makes steak and chicken breasts better than any steakhouse around.

Steve's Marinate

1 cup Soy Sauce (You can use low sodium if you want to)
1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar

Mix all ingredients together and add meat (Steak, Pork Chops, Chicken Breasts, etc.). The recipe says to marinate for 2 hours, but I like to marinate overnight, about 12-24 hours.
We marinated steaks in this one time while we were canoeing and grilled them over an open fire and they were the best steaks that we'd ever had!!

Thanks for the recipe Diana! Brendon and I both love soy sauce so that sounds awesome!

Gina, I'd love the recipes! I'm wanting to try a lot of new dishes and recipes within the next few weeks.

Zucchini is really good cooked on the grill. Just slice it into about 1/2 inch slices and brush a little oil on them (or spray them with Pam) and shake a little Season Salt on them. Turn them occasionally until they're done. You can also broil them in the oven.

I love Salmon in a lemon/pepper marinade. I make it up in the morning, wrap it in reynold's wrap and let it soak all day. We cook it in the foil on the grill.

Right now I am into huge tin foil packets of grilled veggies.
Going to be venturing on to grilled fruits...
I saw a neat recipe for like beef teryaki served over long planks of grilled pineapple. I can't wait to try grilled peaches, bananas etc

I make killer steaks and burgers (inside out cheeseburgers too)
Most recently these turkey burgers stuffed full of onions green peppers and hot peppers seasoned.

I recomend watching the videos on these guys youtube channel

One of our recent favorites! Pasta Caprese

I recommend freezing the cheese cubes after you cut them, otherwise when you throw them in with the hot salad, you may end up with a blobby cheese ball lol
when they are frozen, it turns out perfect

One of our favorites that works great if you have quite a few people over for a meal is to have ground beef, a nice variety of veggies (potatoes, onions, carrots, green peppers, all sliced and ready) and 2 squares of tinfoil for each person to put together what they like between 2 ground beef patties. We usually have steak sauce, soy sauce, terriyaki sauce, etc on hand as well as salt and pepper for them to season with. seal the edges of the foil into a packet so nothing leaks and toss on the grill.

It's quite yummy!

My Homemade Potato Salad

I don't measure I do everything by eye, its all according to taste .

I boil 5lbs potatoes with skins on until cooked

Once cool I take skins off and cut into cubes into a bowl

I put some white vinegar not to much or it will be tart

salt , pepper to taste

Then I put mayo once again according to how you like it, I don't like to much mayo, not dry either

I cut up a small onion , mix in

shred a carrot and put some in

the trick is a little sugar to sweeten it

some dill weed sprinkle some in

mix all the above well , then top it with more shredded carrots and dill weed to finish it off. Refridgerate to make cold.

It is delicious when I make it or bring it to someones bbq it goes fast.. Enjoy!

Angie Pasta salad will follow I promise lol
