Oh, my, I hadn't thought about heating oil. We use so little heat down here. Sure hope we don't have people dying because they couldn't afford the heat. More people may be moving south as a result.
Something's gotta change.

Until 'We the People" do something about it, it will not change. We all need to change our lifestyles a bit and if everyone would do it, we would probably see a difference. It's just that we have those that will say..."well, those 3 people over there are conserving, so I won't have to" and then they are the ones who complain.
I just wish we weren't as selfish a nation as we are. It's very disturbing.

Janet, I agree with all you've said. I just don't understand why it's going so high and I'm very worried about where it will go. My oldest daughter's not sure they can keep up with their house payment, car repairs, food for 6, gas prices, and electricity prices for much longer.

I don't understand why we can build refineries here. I just don't get it. Does anyone else know? There is no reason why we can not produce more of our own fuel. One guy on the news was saying something about certain areas having endangered species. We are going to have to face the facts that we can't save everything ....and ourselves too.

Hubby has been talking with some of the oil people in the area and they say there is no shortage of oil. They are actually capping some producing wells to limit the supply and keep the price up. They call it free enterprize. Isn't that a kick in the pants!!

Well for the greedy a$$holes, we can only pray what goes around, comes around!
I know that's not nice, but it's how I feel. They are making it harder on people who have almost given up hope, some already have. I don't know about other cities....or what all the reasons are....but we've have 3 suicides in 13 days, one teenager the other two adults. If something or someone doesn't step in, there will be more people feeling helpless and hopeless and this will be an everyday occurance.

Right - no shortage of crude - just not enough US refineries.
