Happy Canada Day (yesterday)!!!!! I didn't realize that Canada was only 141 years old. I learned something new today!!! It certainly sounded like you were well located to the park and I'm sure that it was disappointing that your friends didn't show up but I hope that you and Kyle had a good time anyway.

Yeah we're still a very young country! Still changing and growing.. My province just celebrated 100 years, and the newest territory (Nunavut) was just established in 1999 so it's not even 10 years old! Interesting fact that I just found out is that Canada didn't cut all all legislative ties with Britain until 1982, although we're still considered a constitutional monarchy with Queen Elizabeth as head of state

I learned something new also, Happy Belated Canada Day!. Sorry to hear that your plans didn't go the way you had wanted them to. But glad you made the best of it..
