Yes, I have also heard that they continue to change colors until they are 2. But my parents and grandparents both have 7 year old yorkies that have continued to change colors throughout their lifetime. They keep getting lighter and lighter and are now both the same color as your Chanel.

It is so funny to hear that Chanel is a wild child. I could tell by looking at their faces that Chanel was the wild one and Chesley was mama's little angel! How funny!
