You have done such a wonderful thing - she will learn, I'm sure of it. We rescued a dog a few weeks ago (a schnauzer) who I don't think had ever been inside a house. He's about a year old and in a few short weeks, he is completely potty trained.
You and your mom are angels, for sure.
