34 in Florida?? Oh my - what happened to global warming?

I woke up to a lovely light snow. It has been doing that all day. I'm getting used to it. I've been looking around for new shoes though. I can't wear my heels. They sink into the mud, or the snow. Yuck!

I was in town yesterday and was talking to some natives. Sometime in mid-winter, they said the grey skies will get to me. One woman said I should get a SAD light.

Hope you don't get SAD light. I did when I lived in MN. Sometime saw no sun for 2 weeks.

What is a "SAD light?" Is it suppose to help with depression or something? I have seasonal depression so I think I'm going to have to google this. Maybe it's something that will help me during the winter. I'm just not ready to take a pill yet.

SAD stands for Seasonal Affective Disorder. The make special lights that give off multi-colored light like the sun. You have to get one with so many lumens to make it work. They are pretty expensive. They make ones that can make the sun rise earlier. Like you set it like an alarm so you are waking up in light instead of icky winter dark.

This is an article I googled about Seasonal A(?) Disorder and light therapy.
It sounds good, but I don't know about spending 1/2 hour every day.

Of course, eBay has them at all kinds of prices.
