It's all on our own! This way we can see all the things we want to see and skip things we're not so interested in! Luckily with our hotel being so close to Times Square, we're close to mostly everything. We are ON Broadway so we can walk to see shows, and both of the tours we're on start from Times Square which is just a block away! The parade also comes very close to our hotel, so it's also just a short walk.
We got very lucky and I'm glad we booked our hotel so long ago! I'm sure with the Thanksgiving season there's a lot of travel going on.
My best freind Cherelle has been a lifesaver! I couldn't have planned it all on my own. I've been stressed out with just the half I planned! But she has documentation of everything we booked and everyone she talked to, plus she has books and maps and everything... very prepared

Please take lots of pictures Lindsey. I have always wanted to see New York, but I know it probably won't ever happen. Lots and lots of pictures. Stay safe and have a great time.

Don't worry Janet, there will be TONS of pictures! I was telling the guy I'm seeing about how I would need another card for my camera because the one I have only holds 300 pictures. He said instead of buying one I could borrow one of his. So he gave me one yesterday and said I should be able to take 1,200 pictures on it!!!

You are going to see so many wonderful things! I know you'll have a wonderful time. NYC is very busy Thanksgiving, and the Christmas spirit begins that weekend. It sounds great.

Lindsey, you are going to have soooo much fun. Daughter Karen and I had such a good time in NYC. If you have time on your hop on hop off tour, you may want to try to visit Ellis Island. We went to the Statue of Liberty, but Karen did not want to take the time to visit Ellis Island. I had been there before so did not make her go, but do regret that she did not see it. The museum is very moving. I'm sure many of the people who immigrated from Europe to Canada came in through Ellis Island as well. We were there in August though, no where near the holidays. It may be busier with longer lines at the ferries, so you may not have time.

I'm hoping to go there next year with our other daughter, Melissa.

There is soooo much to see there. You will have a blast!!!!!!

My friend Cherelle has mentioned Ellis Island so I think she wants to go too. I just talked to Kandace and she got me even more excited! Last night I got an email with my updated flight itinerary, and this morning I got another email from Ticketmaster to remind me about the Christmas Spectacular and I'm like OH MY GOSH I WILL BE IN NYC IN 4 DAYS lol. I have a page and a half long list so far of what I need to pack, and I'm taking an extra bag for everything I will pack on my way back Kandace said she is probably going to call me a million times this weekend to say "Should I bring this?" I can't wait!!!!!!! I am trying to decide how many pairs of shoes to take. That's my biggest problem!
Well, I guess my biggest problem is still being sick! I fell asleep last night at 8:30 and at 6:30 this morning I still couldn't drag myself out of bed! I wish I was still sleeping right now I have a fever still but I need to stick it out at work until 5 to finish everything and make sure everyone can handle things while I'm gone.

Lindsey, You will have a blast.. Sorry that I cannot meet up with you so much going on. The city is so beautiful at this time of year, too bad you won't get to see the lightning at Rockerfeller Center. I believe it will be light on the 3rd of December.

You have a full agenda, I love NYC during the holiday season it is truly a beautiful place to visit. If you get a chance go to Tavern On The Green restaurant for brunch , its a little expensive but so pretty and while your there take a carriage ride around Central Park. So much to do so little time .

Like Janet said be safe... Enjoy, we want to see photos.

PS I hope that your feeling better real soon, start taking medicine and REST.

Oh I've been taking medicine like CRAZY! My brain feels completely out of it today. I am even skipping out on my brother's birthday tonight so I can go to bed early!
Thanks for the tip about Tavern On The Green! I'd love to know about good restaraunts to try out!
And yes, the tree lighting is the 3rd We tried so hard to plan the trip around seeing it, but they announce it so late! I thought it would for sure be there for it! Oh well Oh and I'm a giant Britney Spears fan and I guess she's going to be there for something on the third and rumored to be performing at the tree lighting as well
Oh well!
