Janet sweetie I am sorry to hear about your Christmas.. I did not receive a thing from my husband this year granted that his dad passed away a few days before. My husband is not one for going out and buying me presents he has given me beautiful jewerly in the past but I always tell him what to get me and pick it out.
Janet my marriage is not the greatest either, most of my friends are all divorced and miserable they cant find anyone decent out there so they stopped looking. Seems the grass is not always greener on the other side. To the ladies who have good marriages cherish it because there are so few. Toodles I see you finally left your husband and you sound happy. I am glad for you and like Janet says stay awhile let us know whats going on in your life. Mandy I got a kick out of your husband that is to cute.... |

I have been there and done that! I was in a horrible marriage 30 years ago. Thankfully, I got out of it. I was a nurse, with my master's and I could support my daughter and I fine. I was NOT looking for another man when I found my current husband, but thank God I found him. He is my soulmate and I am so lucky! Yes, I do cherish him and our marriage!
BUT, if/when something happens to him (and most of you know he is in very very bad health) - I will NEVER get married again. It's not that I don't like being married, I love it - but if I lose him, I just want to be alone, I don't want to be this close to anyone, ever again. I guess it's kinda like - he's one in a million, and I would only compare others to him - wouldn't be fair! Now, about his gift buying. I'm not real "into" gifts. I would like our trips to be our gifts to each other. But he has other ideas. He loves to buy me gifts and he racks his brain for the perfect gift - sometimes he gets it right, sometimes not. But he tries and that's what counts!
