You all are so great!! I am going to try to quit looking at the bigger picture....it's just so overwhelmng. I have been watching what I've ate the today and yesterday...writing it down so I can see it in black and white. I've heard it helps.

Today I'm in so much pain. I really am thinking it's that siatic (sp) nerve. Here it is Saturday, been taking the pain meds for 3 days...not helping. I took one of my husband's Loritabs. It just made me sleep, which was nice, but the pain is still strong now that I'm awake. I can't wait until Monday to get in touch with my Dr. again. I just can't believe how much pain it is.

I really appreciate all the support and advice. You all are saying pretty much the same thing, plus more, so I'm going to do the best I can to do as you all suggest.

Oooh, Janet! I'm coming out there! Don't you cry anymore.

That pain sounds a lot like sciatica. That's a bad pain. You can't sit, stand or lay down. I had it once and it went away and has never come back. It was from lifting my youngest granddaughter too much I think. Have you been lifting or doing anything different that you could stop doing?

One day at a time with the weight. like Gina said, baby steps.

I love you.

Judy, that is exactly how it feels....I can sit for a minute...then it starts hurting really bad, so I'll find a lying position..doesn't last long either. There is just no position that I can stay in for very long.

This happened before back in the summer when I bent over to let the doggies out of their crates. I did the heat/cold thing and muscle relaxers and it quit. Don't know what I've done to bring it on this time. I've got to find a way to make it quit though, I'll be calling the Dr. as soon as I get back from the route this morning.

Janet, i'm so sorry you're not feeling well. What are your thoughts on chiropractors? I was having the same exact trouble you are describing. I had gotten thrown through a fence by a horse & my pelvis was twisted & putting pressure on that nerve. My chiropractor fixed it completely in 6 weeks. It might be something to look into.

I've also been very happy with my chiropractor. She kept my neck and back from hurting with no meds.

Keep us posted, Janet.
