Highlands, I think that you should talk to your doctor about going off of your pills. I had my tubes tied after I had my last child so I don't have that worry. You probably wouldn't want a child this late in life so I'd check first.

Talked to the dr. told him my concerns & he decided to take me off seasonique & put me on ortho tri-cyclen lo. He personally thinks it's the best. Also after talking he decided he's concerned about the amount of headaches I have & now I have to go to a headache specialist & get a brain scan. Could be good could be bad. But I think the BC switch will be helpful. Plus I'm trying to get back to the lowest possible hormone & closest to normal so I won't have any trouble conceiving when I decide too.

The usual protocol is no period (none at all, not even spotting) for 12 months means that you are post menopausal (won't get pregnant). But if you are the least bit concerned, then you can have a blood test that shows your level of hormones, indicating whether or not you are post menopausal. It's worth a conversation with your doctor, just to ease your mind.

Can't help you there we use condoms, but i didn't like that method of birth control for that reason that you don't have periods, we have periods for a reason my mother always told me, so they kinda scared me to use them.
