Sashajade, I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother. We just never know how long we'll have them.
I'd have to say the best moment was when I was told we had a son.... The worst was when my father died, 33 years ago...still hurts like it just happened.

I lost my dad to a heart attack while he was on vacation in Traverse City, Michigan. He had a fishing pole in his hand at the time and it was real quick, so he didn't suffer at all. I miss him so much, I was a daddy's girl.
I lost my sister in 1980 from cancer, 3 days before her 40th birthday. We were just getting to know he other as adults. The worst thing about getting older is losing family and friends.

I would have to say the best moment in my life is when I became a Mom...
The worse moment is when my cousin (we were very very close) had a massive heart attack and died on her job,and left a 10 yr old and 3 yr old...It has been 17 yrs and I still have a hard time with it.

My best moments were when I married my husband, when my kids were born, and when my grandchildren were born.
For my worst moment I have to explain a few things first. To get to our house from town you have to cross a low-water bridge. When it rains the water goes up and down, sometimes even covering the whole bridge and we have to drive a different way to get home. One night the river was up and we had to come home the long way. Well, as we did people and cars were everywhere. Not too long after we got home we got a call and a friend of ours' son had been smarting around and fell in above the bridge. The water had tried to pull him through the bridge but his buddies didn't want him to go through and tried to hold on to him. It's a long story to go into, but eventually they let him go (I think that if they would have let him go earlier he would have been fine but they didn't know what was under the bridge and were afraid he would get stuck.) Groups of people searched all night hoping that he had crawled out of the river and was disoriented and lost in the trees. The next morning even more people were there searching but my husband, son, son-in-law, father-in-law, and some friends were in the river searching. My SIL finally felt something and a boat and body bag were brought in and the boy who drowned was loaded on the boat and brought to bank. I happened to be there when his body was brought up out of the river and was close to his parents and their family during that time. I have NEVER been in such a difficult situation. The boy was only 15 and was a great kid. Our whole community suffered with his death. For us it was especially hard because we still drive over the bridge to get to town.

The best moment in my life was marrying my husband and having a family with him.
There are several moments that are about equal to the worst. The first was when my mom's boyfriend molested me when I was 7. It has taken me until this past year to fully talk about the things that actually happend. Second, when the same jerk set fire to the duplex we lived in killing our neighbors. He is now in prison. Third, my mother in law dying and my not getting to see her before she died. And I would say the absolute worst moment was getting the phone call telling me my father had been killed in a car wreck. I hadn't seen him in twelve years and he didn't even know he was a grandpa. |

The best moments in my life were my wedding day and the birth of my two boys
![]() The worst - I lost my father after a lengthy illness almost 22 years ago and wasn't there with my mom when he died. We had an ice storm come through and with roads closed, I couldn't make the 50 mile drive to be with her ![]()
