Oh man Chandra Amaya... that's really nice that you'd go to that length for someone else's animal.
I wish I had a neighbor like you! If you think you feel silly, imagine how MY old neighbor felt when he stopped to tell me there were 2 dogs froze butt to butt up the road!  I did not have the guts to tell him what was really going on, so I thanked him and promised to call the neighbor they belonged to. I can only imagine how HE felt when he got to work and started telling his story to co-workers with dogs!It was great of him to be so concerned that I just couldn't embarrass him.
